Day 78 - No Ace For Me by AE Stagge

Not many church festivals have a hole-in-one contest. I made it on the leader board one time in the last 10 years when I bounced to about 10 inches from the cup. No such result this year.

Day 77 - Last Fall Festival by AE Stagge

We'll see a few shots this week from the last church festival of the year at St. Vincent Ferrer (9/12-9/14).

As with most church festivals there are many things spinning. This ride is probably spinning the fastest, which is the reason I haven't been on one of these since I was a kid. I remember a similar ride at Kings Island where once it was spinning fast, the floor dropped out. Ah, the memories.

Day 74 - No Shortage of Healthcare Dollars by AE Stagge

Not far from the $80 million expansion of the Jewish Hospital, this big hole in the ground is the start of a new Tri-Health facility. Four stories and 100,000 square feet of out-patient care space is the plan. Workers and patients will have a good view of the Kenwood Towne Place tower across the highway. I wonder which building will be completed first.

Day 70 - I Won't Bite by AE Stagge

Well summer is on the way out; Labor Day has come and gone. We still have a few church festivals to see though. This week I have four posts from the St. Savior Fall Fest this past weekend. Next weekend is the last summer festival that I know of in Sycamore Township, the St. Vincent Fall Fest.

One of the things I liked about the St. Savior event was the petting zoo.

Day 69 - Long Road (and Exposure) by AE Stagge

During the course of exploring for interesting things in Sycamore Township, I've used a variety of photographic techniques such as time-lapse, HDR and long exposure shots. This shot is from the east side of I-71 looking north from Kenwood. I like the lines and light points.

Day 68 - Curb Appeal by AE Stagge

I want to photograph some of the more attractive homes in the township. I'll start with this one on Euclid Road. I've often admired this old house, and I was inside it once visiting a friend in high school. It has changed a lot over the years. It looks much better today than it once did.

Day 67 - Patient Comfort by AE Stagge

I assume this covered drop off area is temporary. The renovation at Jewish Hospital affected the main entrance so they built this, to protect patients from the elements as they come and go. It looks costly.

Day 66 - More Room for the Sick by AE Stagge

Late next year an $80 million expansion of the Jewish Hospital in Kenwood is expected to be complete. I will follow the progress and post more photos along the way, including another one tomorrow.

I read about the expansion online and the renderings of the new complex are very nice. Although the new patient tower will add 154,000 square feet of space, no beds will be added, as all the rooms will just become private rooms.
